Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire or track scans?
No. The code encodes your content directly, so there is no short link in the middle that could expire or count scans. Once downloaded it works forever, offline, with no dependency on this site.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The QR is generated inside your browser tab with a JavaScript library. Your link, Wi-Fi password or contact details are never uploaded, stored or logged.
PNG or SVG — which should I choose?
PNG for websites, slides and social posts. SVG is vector, so it stays perfectly sharp on posters, packaging and anything printed large.
Why add a logo and higher error correction?
A centre logo covers part of the code. Error-correction level H can restore up to 30% of the pattern, so pick Q or H whenever you place a logo, then test the result with a phone.
Is the Wi-Fi QR code safe to print?
The network password is encoded in plain text inside the code, exactly as the Wi-Fi standard requires. Anyone who scans it joins the network, so only display it where you would share the password anyway.
